PRIVACY POLICY

• Your name, birthday and — if you add one — your profile photo.
• Your email address, used to sign in.
• The friend groups you join, and the plans, expenses and messages you create in them.
• The meeting place you type into a Meet Up invitation, shared only with the group you send it to.
• If you turn on device alerts: a push token so we can deliver notifications to your device.
• Birthdays you add for people who never sign up stay private to you.

• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not use your data for advertising, in any way.
• The app contains no third-party ads or trackers.

A Meet Up invitation shares the meeting place and optional proposed time only with members of the group you sent it to. Immediate invitations disappear when their countdown ends; scheduled invitations close after the proposed meeting time.

Profile and group photos are stored in private storage and are only visible to the members of your groups. Group photos can be changed by the people in the group.

With fwends’wrapped you can share a photo with the groups you choose. Those photos are never public, are visible only to members of those groups, and are automatically deleted 24 hours after you share them. You can report any picture from another member, and every report is reviewed. You can also block a member so their photos no longer appear to you; they are never told.

Event photo albums work the same way: photos added to an event are stored at their original full size, are visible only to the people invited to that event, and are deleted automatically 24 hours after they are added. The person who added a photo can delete it sooner. Members can heart a photo, and the person who shared it can see who has seen it and when.

To keep the app running, we keep daily totals of how many photos are shared and how much storage they use. These totals never include the photos themselves or who is in them.

The app is invite-only. Your profile, plans and expenses are visible only to members of the groups you are in. Group owners can remove members, and you can leave any group at any time.

A date poll or event can be shared with more than one group, or with individual friends. Everyone invited can then see that plan, its answers, and (unless the host turns off “Guests can see who else is invited”) who else is invited. When that setting is off, others only see the totals and their own answer.

Friends can answer a poll or event through a guest link without signing up. We store the name and, if they give one, the email address they enter, together with their answer. That email is used only to send reminders about that plan (for example when a poll closes, the day before an event, or when its photos are ready).

Through your birthday link, friends and family can fill in a birthday for you without an account. We only store the name and date they enter, and it stays in your private birthday list.

We send in-app alerts and, if you turned them on, phone notifications about your groups: new plans, birthdays, Meet Ups, photos and reminders. If you host a plan, you get at most one summary of new answers per plan per day, plus one alert when everyone has responded. You can mute any group.

If you sign up through someone’s personal invite link, you are automatically added as friends with that person, and through a group invite link you join that group.

You can delete your account yourself at any time: open Your profile and tap “Delete my account”. That permanently erases your name, birthday, photo, private birthday list, device tokens, notifications and any shared locations, and blocks sign-in for good.

Shared group records your friends still rely on — bills, splits, plans and votes — stay in those groups but are no longer linked to your name; they show as “Deleted user”. When you leave a group, your membership and access to that group’s content ends.
